This clean lager yeast strain, inspired by early light American lagers and believed to originate from Budejovice, produces beers that are crisp, balanced, and lightly malty with a subtle fruity finish. It provides the foundation for the classic Czech Pilsner profile, where yeast character remains restrained—supporting the delicate balance of soft malt sweetness and noble hop bitterness without overpowering either.
